CALLING ARTISTS & MODELS

PARTICIPATION IS FREE!

 

 

Neuroscope invites artists and models to participate in The Body Exhibit: Evolution, an immersive live art competition taking place Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Space to Create in Trinidad, Colorado.

​

For our inaugural exhibition, artists will transform the human body into a living work of art inspired by the theme EVOLUTION. The transformation itself is the exhibition—bringing artist and model together in a live creative experience where body, story, performance, and visual art converge.

THE THEME: EVOLUTION

​

Evolution is transformation. It is the process of becoming something different from what came before.

​

Artists are invited to interpret Evolution broadly—biological, technological, cultural, environmental, spiritual, personal, or entirely imagined. A work might explore humanity's origins, changing ideas of gender and identity, adaptation to a changing planet, the merging of humans and machines, aging and rebirth, or a vision of what the human body could become hundreds or thousands of years from now.

There is no single visual interpretation of the theme. Evolution is the starting point. Where it goes is up to the artist.

​

Participating teams will present their completed works before a live audience and jury, with one team receiving the $1,000 Jury-Selected Grand Prize.

​

We are looking for painters, makeup artists, designers, multidisciplinary artists, performers, and models who want to create something unexpected, ambitious, and unforgettable. Experience in body painting is welcome, but not required. What matters is a strong concept and a willingness to push your creativity.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in The Body Exhibit: Evolution and agree to comply with all event rules, venue requirements, schedules, participant instructions, and the Participant Conduct & Content Standards established by Neuroscope and the event producers.


I understand that all genitalia must remain fully covered and that female nipples and areolae must remain fully covered throughout the competition and public exhibition. I understand that body paint alone does not constitute coverage of these areas.


I understand that hate speech, discriminatory or threatening content, sexually vulgar or explicitly sexual content or conduct, harassment, and inappropriate behavior are prohibited. I understand that Neuroscope and the event producers may require modification or removal of material and may disqualify or remove a participant for violation of event standards at the producers’ discretion.


I understand that participation in the competition does not guarantee an award and that decisions of the jury and event producers are final.


NAME AND LIKENESS


I grant Neuroscope, its event producers, authorized representatives, photographers, videographers, and promotional partners permission to photograph, film, record, and otherwise document my participation in The Body Exhibit: Evolution.


I authorize Neuroscope to use my name, approved biographical information, image, likeness, voice, appearance, and photographs or recordings of my participation for purposes related to documenting, publicizing, promoting, exhibiting, and reporting on The Body Exhibit, Neuroscope, and related Neuroscope programming.


Such materials may appear in print, websites, social media, press and media materials, advertising, promotional videos, event recaps, archival materials, and other promotional or editorial communications without additional compensation.


I understand that this permission does not transfer ownership of my underlying artwork to Neuroscope. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, the artist retains ownership of their original artistic work.


PARTICIPATION AGREEMENTS


I have read and understand this Participant Registration & Release, including the event's conduct and content requirements, and voluntarily agree to its terms.
